The rise in digital marketing over the last decade is at the heart of this technological era that we all live in. Every business, no matter how big or how small, will have its own form of digital marketing. Whether it is through Facebook, Instagram, Twitter or Newsrooms, digital marketing is a core requirement and a necessity for companies in this day and age. Mark Bowers, Marketing Executive and I, attended the Digital Marketing Conference, Cyprus (DMC – CY) from the 12th – 13th October. The conference included guest speakers from some of the most recognisable businesses around the world, from Microsoft to Wargaming.net, the DMC – CY was an event not to be missed.
As an intern this conference was a huge eye-opener into the world of digital marketing, experiencing how many professionals utilise this wonderful gift of the internet to brand their companies successfully. Mark and I not only learned a great deal about digital marketing, but, importantly, had fun along the way. The conference held a multitude of workshops where participants could actively build deeper knowledge and understandings of digital marketing tactics. From ‘Shining on Camera’ to ‘Content Plans’, guest speakers from many companies provided insights into the way they operate online. Overall, there were 25 specialised practical workshops, hosted by experts from Germany, Russia, UK and Cyprus.
This Friday – Saturday conference was extremely beneficial and a pleasant event to attend. The knowledge we brought back to Cedar Rose, to utilise our marketing strategies, is priceless, only brought on by the experience of the DMC – CY. Furthermore, it was highly beneficial for personal growth, to assist in developing our own individual futures. The conference also paved the way for networking, which, in itself, provides a copious amount of benefits. “Everyone you will ever meet knows something you don’t” – Bill Nye, networking provides immeasurable rewards and knowledge that you can’t find anywhere else.
Overall, DMC – CY was brilliantly organised and the logistics were carried out effectively. Cedar Rose would like to thank the hosts, St Raphael Resort, Limassol, for their excellent service and support and the organisers of the event, Vestnik Kipra, everything ran smoothly and efficiently. Additionally, we would like to thank all the speakers who shared their knowledge and made the conference a success.
As a company which holds by far the largest database of company, director and shareholder information for the Middle East and African region, Cedar Rose can help other digital marketers with marketing lists containing contact details of thousands of potential clients throughout the region.
